This apartment sits in one of the parts of Vienna that has come along most beautifully in recent years: a quiet residential quarter right by the Central Station, where the new Sonnwendviertel — with its wide streets, young trees and the generous Helmut Zilk Park — meets the older, settled city. The station itself is an easy walk away, and with its shops, supermarkets and restaurants open into the evening, it feels less like a train station than like a very convenient corner store. Around you there are bakeries, pharmacies, cafés and small restaurants where you can still sit comfortably after a long day.

It is hard to beat the connections from here. The Central Station, with the U1 metro, the S-Bahn and national and international rail services, is about a seven-minute walk; Keplerplatz on the U1 is even closer, roughly five minutes away. That puts you at Stephansplatz in about fifteen minutes, at the airport in half an hour, and on a direct train to Bratislava or Graz just as easily. The universities and universities of applied sciences are comfortably within reach as well. And for free afternoons: Belvedere Palace, its gardens and the Belvedere 21 museum are practically within walking distance.
