Bright 54 m2 1-bedroom flat with balcony and parking — 5 min to Hauptbahnhof
Renovated 54 m2 one-bedroom apartment on the first floor (one floor above street level), five minutes' walk from Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof and fifteen from the banking district. Set up for a placement, a project or a relocation - and registration at the Bürgeramt is possible, with the Wohnungsgeberbestätigung provided. Your name goes on the doorbell and the letterbox: that sounds trivial and isn't, because if you're applying for a visa or a residence permit, post from the authorities, your bank and your insurer has to actually reach you.
Two proper rooms: a bedroom with a 160×200 cm bed, a full working desk with a proper chair, and a large wardrobe. A separate living room with a dining table for four, a large TV and access to the balcony. Two places to work, and neither of them is the sofa. Lift in the building.
The kitchen is its own small room off the living room, set up for actual cooking: oven, induction hob, extractor, dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine, and crockery, glassware and pans for six.
The bathroom has a bath with a shower over it, and a washer-dryer in the flat for your sole use - no shared laundry, no basement, no coins. In the hallway there's a coat rack, a bench and a shoe cabinet.
An underground parking space in the building is included in the rent, yours for the whole stay. Rare this close to the Hauptbahnhof. Clearance at the garage entrance is 1.9 m.
Self check-in, so you can arrive whenever your train or flight gets in. Internet runs at 100 Mbit/s - enough for a working day of video calls. Smart thermostats let you set the heating room by room. Utilities, internet and bed linen are included. There's no electricity contract to sign in your own name, so no German bank account or Schufa report to produce for it.
On the location, plainly: the flat looks out over the approach to Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof. The balcony and the bedroom window face the tracks and the station's arched roofs, and the windows are double-glazed rather than triple. This is a very central spot with a lot going on - expect trains, traffic and at times construction. Convenient rather than quiet.
Five minutes to your platform, fifteen to the banking district. If you are here for a placement and will be commuting by train, it is hard to beat. If you need silence to sleep or work, this is not the flat.
Deposit: €250, which you get back. No cleaning fee.
